Who we are
About the Guardians
We're two lines at Glenn High School in Leander, Texas. Guardians on varsity, Angels on junior varsity, and together we're the wing family.
Football games in the fall. Competition floors through the winter and spring. Then the show that closes our whole year out.
A drill team is a line. Every one of us holds the same height, the same angle, and the same count as the girl beside her. When it's right, the whole line reads as one person - and that's why two minutes on the field takes us months to build.
Our traditional high kick is called Cheyenne. We've been dancing it since 2024 and it's still in the lineup.

Kelly Mabry
Director
Kelly danced as a Kilgore Rangerette from 1994 to 1996 - Kilgore being where the whole idea of a drill team started, back in 1940. She is an Austin native, has spent her career teaching dance in Leander ISD, and holds a B.A. in History from UT Austin.
Lindy Hanson
Assistant Director
Lindy danced with the Lake Travis Cavalettes and then the Kilgore Rangerettes, which means both directors came up through the same tradition. She is a dance educator and choreographer whose own work leans modern - improvisation and somatic practice - and she holds a B.A. in Dance from Texas Woman's University.
