Tryouts

Want to be on this line?

You do not need years of studio training to try out. You do need to be at every clinic day.

What tryouts look like

Tryouts run over several days. The first days are a clinic where the directors teach the material, and the last day is the audition itself. Everyone learns the same choreography at the same time, so nobody is expected to walk in already knowing it.

Dancers come from studios, from cheer, from gymnastics, and from nothing at all. Plenty of girls on the line had never done a field routine before the summer they joined.

Dates

When tryouts happen

Dates for the next season are not set yet.

They post here first, and they go out through the school as well. If you want to be told when they are announced, email the directors and we will add you to the list.

Money

What it costs

Being honest about this matters more than making it sound easy. Drill team costs a family real money over a year, across uniforms, shoes, camp, competition fees, and the banquet.

There is help available, and asking about it is normal. Nobody on the line knows who received assistance and nobody is told.

The itemised cost sheet is being confirmed with the directors.

We would rather post a real number than a vague one.

This is a preview. These squares fill with real Instagram posts once the accounts are connected, and update on their own every time something new goes up. Both lines post to their own account and this grid merges them, newest first.

Practice clips, bus rides, game nights, and everything in between goes to Instagram first. Each line runs its own account.
