Accessibility

What we aim for

We build to the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. In practice that means text has enough contrast to read, everything works without a mouse, images carry descriptions, and nothing moves or flashes in a way that could cause harm.

What we have done

• Every color pair on the site is checked for contrast
• The whole site can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline
• Animation is switched off automatically if your device asks for reduced motion
• The rotating photographs on the home page have a pause button
• Touch targets are sized for a phone

Where we know we fall short

Photograph descriptions are still being improved, and some documents are linked as PDFs that may not read well in a screen reader. If a document you need is not accessible, ask and we will get you the content another way.
